Albion House is the former Harbour Master’s house in the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey. Beautifully situated three minutes walk from the centre of the village and with breathtaking views over the harbour and St Austell bay towards Fowey, Albion House is truly unique and unforgettable.

Mevagissey is a picturesque historic fishing port that is classical of Cornwall. Albion House offers uncompromised comfort to access all the attractions a village such as Mevagissey has to offer. The village offers a variety of places to eat and drink and let the world pass you by. Be it a homemade Cornish ice-cream whilst watching the fishing boats returning with their sumptuous catch to buy on the harbour or later enjoying this in one of the many excellent restaurants in the village or surrounding area. Even catch-up with some of the local gossip whist sipping a pint of locally produced cider in the warm surroundings of one of the historic taverns there is something for all types of palette.

We purchased the house in 2007, since which time it has undergone a complete restoration project using only the finest materials. It is now a stunning five bedroomed family home (sleeping up to 12) which promises luxury and timeless elegance.  Albion House has computerised Lutron lighting system, and high pressure plumbing system for fantastic showers. All bathroom fittings are by Villeroy and Boch. Hand-built walnut kitchen, with Miele appliances. Memory foam beds to offer a wonderful night’s sleep. All paint is chalk based.

ROOMS  -  There is enough space to sleep 12 people at the house. However we believe that the perfect numbers are around 6 - 8 adults or 2 families say 4 adults and 4 - 6 children.  Each of the rooms is designed to be welcoming and comfortable while at the same time offering the most modern facilities whether thats flat screen TV's (even in the bathroom) or the latest Grohe power showers with body jets.

The rental period runs from 4pm Saturday day of arrival until 10am Saturday day of departure. If you arrive early it is usually possible to leave your bags but the cleaners will still be working.  Tariff for 2009:   £1300 to £2900
