The Crown Inn is a 16th century "proper" Cornish pub with many original feature. We are a St Austell brewery pub and are awaiting a real ale beer award from the cask marque. We have a peaceful garden and ideally situated in a small hamlet with lovely walks and church.  On the road to Mevagissey turn right to St Ewe, past Heligan garden 1/2 mile turn right 1/2 mile on.  We are the nearest pub to Heligan gardens (1 mile away). We serve quality food freshly cooked by our popular chef. Bookings are needed for Friday and Saturday nights and for Sunday lunch.

In essence it is a lovely pub to get something to eat or drink and relax in the very attractive interior of the inn. With a large seating area, the Crown is great for evenings, sunny days and even on the occasional rainy days that we have in Cornwall. Renowned throughout the area, it brings together the traditions of Cornwall and comforts of the countryside in a warm very Cornish, full of character pub. The interior is of a Cornish cottage taste, with big old wooden tables and chairs with charming decorations of country life. The design inside is great, and expect food to match, with lots of choice that will suit anyone’s taste. With very generous portions, you'll be well fed. Take a trip out and visit to the Crown Inn. This beautiful old house is primarily run as a country Inn and well established restaurant. However a small section is reserved for guests.
This consists of a large double bedroom with a four poster bed.

The Restaurant

The restaurant is large, adjoins the main licensed premises and also caters for: Weddings / Special occasions / Parties  All meals are freshly cooked using fresh local produce wherever possible. The menu is extensive and changes daily and specialises in fish and game. We are open every day including a special Christmas day lunch. Table reservations are advised during the summer months, as the restaurant is very popular with both locals and visitors alike.

  

Directions

At St Austell turn off the A390 onto the B3273 signposted Mevagissey. Continue on this road going through London apprentice, passing Pentewan beach on your left. After Pentewan Beach continue up a long winding hill, at the top of which there is a crossroads. Turn right towards Gorran Haven. Continue on this road going past the Lost Gardens of Heligan on your left. Shortly after this you will see St Ewe signposted off to the right. Follow this road into the village, the Crown Inn is in the centre.
