Mevagissey Feast Week June
Sun 23 service at St Peters church 9.30a.m
At 2pm new event, A Fish Festival, featuring filleting and cooking of fish,
with a try and buy, a fruit of the sea competition, try and recognise the
sea creatures!
7pm Proms on the Jetty with Mount Charles Band, an evening of unashamed
patriotism.
Mon 24 This year no business display competition as all the businesses are
decorated to celebrate the Royal Golden Jubilee.
6.30pm children's five a side football tournament on the recreation field.
7.30 pm Mevagissey Male Voice Choir concert in St Andrews church, tickets
in advance from post office.
Tues 25 St Peters feast tea day, sports and tea at 4pm Eve. Procession singing on the harbour at 7pm Flora at 9pm
Weds 26. Teddy bears picnic at the school at 12 noon. Lunch time concert
in St Andrews by Mevagissey Ladies Choir. Children's crab catching contest
5.30pm on the jetty.
Triathlon, swimming, running ,cycling and finish with a run to the harbour
starts 7pm outer harbour.
8pm at the Jubilee hall a Beach Party with Quango prize for most outrageous
outfit.
Thurs 27. St Andrews Feast tea day, children's entertainment and tea starts
Jubilee Hall at 4pm
Evening procession singing around the town 7pm Flora dance 9pm
Fri.28 6.30pm Fishing boat race across the bay, prize best dressed boat.
Approx 7pm R.N Helicopter in Search and rescue display. Also at 7pm children's
pavement artist competition.. 8pm live music on the quay with the Vince Lee
combo.
Sat 29 Children's flora dance start from the harbour 2.pm Fete in the Park 2.30pm Carnival assemble 7pm parade 7.30pm Carnival Flora 8.30pm
FEAST WEEK GRAND FINALE ,"FIREWORKS SET TO MUSIC WITH A ROYAL CONNECTION". HARBOUR 10.30pm
